What Gerard does in the EU

Gerard Batten attends the plenary sessions of the Parliament in order to oppose legislation harmful to Britain. In 2004 to 2009 he was a member of the Security and Defence Committee and was UKIP’s spokesman on that subject.

In 2009 he became a member of the Civil Liberties Committee, and will devote special attention to the erosion of our civil liberties by the European Union by such means as the European Arrest Warrant, Trials in Absentia, the common recognition of fines and confiscation orders, and the ‘harmonisation’ of member states legal systems.

Gerard Batten is a prolific speaker on a multitude of subjects in the chamber of the European Parliament. His speeches draw attention to the damage being done to Britain by membership of the European Union and often end with a call for British withdrawal.

Most MEPs are usually restricted to speaking times of usually one or two minutes only.

Gerard Batten. Battling for Britain!

you though Farage's irresponsible foot in mouth attack on 3 of his MEPs and contempt for the members of EUkip on BBC TV was quite bad enough NOW LOOK what this arrogant out of control chav has done now!
