Gerard Batten wins first round of Leadership contest

At the first hustings it was generally agreed Gerard Batten was the best candidate. His speech was outstanding and his answers to various questions were spot on.

Gerard Batten 1. The other candidates 0.

GB for UKIP Leader. You know it makes sense.

  1. Hi,

I did note that although none of the other candidates flagged it up Mike Nattrass didn't turn up as he was on a jolly in The Phillipines, where I understand he has a daughter - I wonder if his wife knows!!! It couldn't be Batten's wife could it ;-) Jokes aside!

Interestingly when EUkip is subject of a Guilty verdict for its duplicitous and childish behaviour where Farage, Lott, Andrew Smith and Wittacker are primarily to blame having accrued debts of £3/4Million!

Yet still Gerard Batten was stating that he had made very many donations to branches of just under £1,000 each to avoid having to register them with The Electoral Commission!

I may well be wrong but surely cummulative contributions over a period are in fact subject to recording by The Recipient or no doubt as a professional politician by the donor.

This does look all too like a scam to bend the law and dupe the authorities - can this be wise since I understand EUkip is currently technically bankrupt.

A risk too far may I suggest, in the light of the degree to which EUkip's idiotic and chaotic leadership have deliberately antagonised the Electoral Commission - a fact they have made most clear in the rebuttal of Christopher Booker's lazy piece of journalism at:
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/christopherbooker/6426032/Ukip-faces-bankruptcy-after-Electoral-Commission-appeal.html
copying to the letter the dishonest and false drivel of Michael Crick at:

So sound as Gerards speech was as read has he like Pearson made a foolish and ill considered comment precluding himself from the glory he seeks!

Gerard's close association with Mick McGough can do little to bring confidence in Gerard!!

    Regards,
    Greg L-W.
